Independence Air Improves Employee Scheduling with RosterApps

Des Moines, Iowa - May 10, 2005

Sciengistics, a provider of resource management solutions, announced today that low-fare airline Independence Air has completed its implementation of the RosterApps workforce management solution.

RosterApps is a Web-based solution that automates all employee scheduling processes including employee self-service functions such as schedule bidding, shift-trading, vacation requests, and overtime requests. The solution has initially been deployed as a significant enhancement that will benefit the approximately 600 customer service agents, ramp agents, commissary agents, and operations coordinators at Independence Air's Washington Dulles International Airport hub operation. There are plans to also utilize RosterApps for SOC, maintenance, and line station staff as well.

"We are very happy with how RosterApps has been able to make it easier for our employees to manage their work schedules while greatly reducing the workload on our administrative staff," said Jerry Caler, Vice President of Customer Service for Independence Air. "Not only have we been able to eliminate virtually all the paperwork that went along with schedule changes, we now have all the schedule information in one place and it is always up-to-date."

"Having RosterApps integrated with Independence Air's Kronos® time and attendance system and Lawson® HR information system will greatly improve their administrative workflow," said John Brant, President of Sciengistics.
